Pure Extravagance

How time flies!
In our modern world time elapses and is not considered luxury. To have some time sometimes seems to be more pure extravagance – hence to live in luxury. Only a few  try to get hold of a larger part of it. There is, unfortunately, no general “waiting list” to be added. To have time is generally not defined as a status symbol someone strives for excessively – what a pity.
But evidently, in the 21st century we have to start asking. What is modern luxury? Time. Satisfaction. Contentedness. Passion. Empathy. And, above all, miraculous handicraft. Bespoke unique objects, marvellously handmade objets d’art. Art objects that belong to former times. Being devotedly manufactured. A paragon of virtue – complete dedication, determination, perfection. Pride and anticipation come over these people who want to have these objets d’art and those who are allowed to create them. Obviously,  totally unaffordable luxury. To be invaluable to people. Timeless fortune.

Purist and esthetic simplicity that one has to treasure. Worth being looked for, not a simple sheet of paper but handmade paper from Bavaria like electric blood or pastel heart attack by Gmund Paper Culture. Why not plunge into the sleeping horsehair world of Daniel Heer, contemporary designs using traditional, long-time honored skills and craftsmanship.
